1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Captrix AI ("Captrix", "we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Captrix AI mobile software application (available on iOS and Android), our website, and associated video processing services.
By downloading, installing, or using Captrix AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using our services.
2. Grant of License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Captrix grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, personal license to download, install, and use the Captrix AI application on authorized mobile devices under your direct control.
This license permits you to utilize our AI automated captioning engine, speech-to-text transcription tools, silence trimmer, and subtitle exporter for both personal and commercial content creation.
3. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership
We believe content creators must retain full autonomy over their intellectual property:
✅ 100% User Ownership: You retain complete and exclusive ownership rights, intellectual property copyrights, and commercial distribution rights to all video files, audio tracks, text transcripts, and styled subtitle files generated through Captrix AI.
- Captrix claims zero ownership, license interest, or royalty right over your video content.
- You are free to post, publish, monetize, and distribute exported videos across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TV broadcasts, or commercial advertisements.
- You represent and warrant that you hold all necessary rights and licenses to the video and audio content you upload to Captrix.
4. Acceptable Conduct & Prohibited Uses
You agree to use Captrix AI in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws. You agree NOT to:
- Upload or process content that infringes upon the copyright, trademark, or privacy rights of any third party.
- Process illegal, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, or hate speech video content.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Captrix application or underlying AI neural speech models.
- Utilize automated bots, scrapers, or excessive API requests that disrupt service infrastructure.
5. Service Features, Updates & Availability
We continuously refine Captrix AI to introduce new creator templates, subtitle font options, and AI performance optimizations. We reserve the right to modify, update, or temporarily suspend app features for maintenance without prior notice.
6. Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimer
Captrix AI and its captioning services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While our AI neural speech recognition achieves over 99% accuracy, automated transcription accuracy may vary depending on background audio noise, speaker articulation, or audio recording quality.
In no event shall Captrix AI be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from app usage or processing delays.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Captrix AI if you violate any provision of these Terms or engage in abusive service activity.
8. Changes to Terms of Use
We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. Modified terms will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app following updates signifies your acceptance.
